Canterbury Magicians vs Otago Sparks
Suzie Bates won the toss for the Sparks and sent the Magicians into bat.
Kate Anderson and Frankie MacKay got the Magicians off to a slow and stead start with the partnership being worth 31 off the first 6 overs. Kate Anderson went for a run a ball 24 and Frankie MacKay went for 21 off 30 after a good partnership with Izzy Sharp who went for 32 off 36.
Fatima Sana got 14 off 13 and Lea Tahuhu went for 7 off 7. Nat Cox got a duck off 3 balls, with Jodie Dean and Laura Hughes closing it out scoring 8 and 2 respectively getting the Magicians to 109/6 after the 20 overs.
Suzie Bates and Bella James got Otago off to a flyer until Bates got trapped in front going for 23 off 27. Bella James then got run out in a mix up off an overthrow going for 26. Olivia Gain and Felicity Robertson held Otago held the middle order up in a 32 run partnership.
When they both went Inglis and Blakely came to the crease however the cracks started to show with Inglis, Jensen and Watkins got out at the tail for under 5. Eden Carson came out of the shed to finish it off the last ball.

The rain lasted hours with a 5 over game set out starting at 7:48. That was long lived as the men went off the field at 7:50 with 3 balls being bowled.
