Let's Go Bashing - Mens Dream 11 Super Smash Preview

Back for another 2 months of bashing, thrashing and exciting cricket all around. The T20 competition comes back with all teams set to shape up and put their best foot forward. Will we see the likes of Otago finally win another T20 comp since the HRV Cup in 2012/13 or will we see the defending champions the Northern Brave become 2 time champs? All is out in this article.

The Otago Volts turned out last time with low expectations and a hope of a playoff push. Well that happened and the Volts want to go even further. With the recruiting of Luke Georgeson a player who wants to push on and win trophies, the Volts will still look dangerous. Without Rippon or Rae this season Otago will take a massive hit after 2 key players left. My prediction is the Volts will come 4th in the Super Smash this season.

The Canterbury Kings need to keep the momentum going into this Super Smash. They've had a Ford Trophy to forget so far however they have the confidence that they have done this before. Rae and Rippon are 2 great additions to the side and they will push on to get second in the Super Smash.

The Central Stags look like one of the clear favourites in this competition. Josh Clarkson just got selected for the Blackcaps and it's all looking up. The squad has stayed the same and it's time for them to finally win another Super Smash. I predict they will win the Super Smash.

Wellington Firebirds are creating some noise. Ben Sears got selected for the Blackcaps and Rachin Ravindra was scoring heaps in the World Cup. Losing all the Blackcaps will take a hard hit as the many Blackcaps help so much. The senior players must step up to ensure a smooth sailing-campaign this season. I predict a 6th place for the Wellington Firebirds.

Northern Brave are looking to push on after a few good seasons however I predict a flop. Many of the ND players are getting on at their age and the youth still need time to develop. This is a season to develop and ensure the province is in safe hands. I predict that Northern Brave will come 5th in the Super Smash.

The Auckland Aces are raring to go at the opportunity to win the Super Smash. Finn Allen has been released for the first game and the rest of the squad is raring to go. With a mix of experience and youthfulness, Auckland will go well. I predict a 3rd place finish.
