Jamieson and Williamson withdrawn from the Blackcaps vs Bangladesh T20 Squad -Duffy and Ravindra Replacements

Captain Kane Williamson and Kyle Jamieson have been withdrawn from the Blackcaps squad to face Bangladesh after Christmas.

Kane Williamson is going to undergo a period of knee rehabilitation and strengthening after his return to the ICC Men's World Cup in India.

Advice on Jamieson's hamstring injury would be that it is best served via a period of targeted rehabilitation. Kyle Jamieson will miss the Bangladesh T20 series and the Pakistan T20 series.

Rachin Ravindra and Jacob Duffy have been added to the squad.

Rachin Ravindra is known for his great performance in the recent World Cup. Gary Stead went on to say “Rachin adds to any environment he’s a part of and has a great desire to learn and develop his game - across all three formats.”

Jacob Duffy has been on the edge of the Blackcaps squad since his debut 4-fa. He has recently gone on to become Otago's leading wicket-taker in all formats.

Mitchell Santner will captain the series in Kane Williamson's absence. He has led the team 13 times before in T20 cricket and once in ODI.
