Northern Diamonds captain and England A all-rounder Hollie Armitage has been announced as an overseas signing for the Central Hinds in the Dream 11 Super Smash this season.
Armitage has played 77 LA games and 100 T20 games with high scores of 131* and 82 respectively in the two formats. She’s also taken 27 T20 wickets and 48 LA wickets. Armitage featured in the England A tour to India recently and made 92 runs in the three T20s with a high score of 52 from 41.
Armitage has also played in the WBBL and in the WNCL playing for the Sydney Sixers and Tasmania during the 2019/20 season. She played five WBBL matches and made 54 runs. She then made 103 runs in seven matches in the WNCL.
Commenting to Yorkshire Cricket on her being able to come and play in Aotearoa she said:
“I’ve played over in Australia for a few winters, but New Zealand is a place I’ve never been to before. I’m really excited to join a new environment and a new team."
She has hope that she can perform for the Hinds and help them to win some games:
“Hopefully I can drive forward the things I’ve been working on and help the Central Hinds win some games and hopefully a trophy.”
