The White Ferns squad has been announced to play Pakistan with a lot of experienced players being selected.
The squad is familiar looking for the White Ferns with no new players included.
Izzy Gaze has been selected just for the ODIs and will also act as cover for the first T20I as Melie Kerr is playing in the WBBL Final for the Brisbane Heat.
Eden Carson will also only play in the T20Is and has not been selected in the ODI squad.
Kate Anderson is the only real newcomer to feature in the side having made her debut for the White Ferns against South Africa last month. Bernie Bezuidenhout also returns to the squad after she fell ill on the South Africa tour.
Sophie Devine will lead the side as she has returned back to Aotearoa from Perth where her side, the Perth Scorchers were defeated by the Brisbane Heat in the ‘Challenger.’
Maddy Green, Bernie Bezuidenhout, Izzy Gaze, Molly Penfold, Fran Jonas, Hannah Rowe, Georgia Plimmer, Eden Carson, Lea Tahuhu, and Kate Anderson have all represented their domestic sides this summer. Plimmer has the highest score with a knock of 147 whilst Green has contributed 186 runs for Auckland.
For the second T20I, the University of Otago Oval will be named as ‘Suzie Bates Oval’ in recognition of her becoming the second woman in the world to play 300 international on the recent tour to South Africa.
The team will be Ben Sawyer along with Dean Brownlie and Craig Howard. They will also be assisted by Bob Carter (T20Is) and Sara McGlashan (ODIs).
Brooke Halliday was not considered for selection due to a foot injury, and Hayley Jensen continues her recovery following knee surgery earlier in the year.
