Devine Goes Big as New Zealand Takes Victory in Third ODI

Sophie Devine has scored an unbeaten ton in Hamilton to see New Zealand to a dominant seven-wicket win in Hamilton.

The New Zealand captain blazed her eighth ODI 100 from just 93 balls, with two sixes off Charlie Dean to take her the three-figure mark.

Amelia Kerr (31) provided a crucial 76-run second wicket stand, after losing both openers early on.

Georgia Plimmer (4) was dismissed by Kate Cross in the third over whilst Suzie Bates (6) was out to Nat Sciver-Brunt in the sixth over.

When Sophie Ecclestone picked up the wicket of Kerr, it left the Kiwis at 90/3 and they were going to need someone to push on and go big.

Alongside Devine, Maddy Green (38*) stepped up after a disappointing tour to see the Kiwis home with 11 overs to spare as they put on a 105* run stand.

Charlie Dean found herself taking a lot of tap with the ball, having taken figures of 3/57 in the first ODI and 1/39 in the second. Today, however, the Kiwi skipper took her to the fences with 63 runs conceded from just seven overs including overs of 14, 16, 10, and 13.

Earlier on with the bat for the visitors, wicket-keeper Amy Jones once again stepped up with the bat alongside Dean after the top and middle order suffered a collapse.

Hannah Rowe and Jess Kerr both had success early with Tammy Beaumont (3) and Maia Bouchier (19) both falling.

A collapse from 83/2 to 95/6, left England in serious trouble with the Kerr sisters causing the damage to England.

Sciver-Brunt (27) and Dani Wyatt (4) both fell victim to Amelia Kerr whilst it was Jess Kerr who had the wicket of Sophia Dunkley. Just to make things worse for England, captain Heather Knight was run out by Amelia Kerr, just as she was looking set on 31.

Jones (50) and Dean (38) led their side's effort with the bat before Jess Kerr, Rowe, and Bates all got wickets to have England bowled out for 194.

Jess Kerr finished with 3/39 while Hannah Rowe got 3/42. Amelia Kerr (2/46) and Suzie Bates (1/12) were the others to get wickets.

England took a 2-1 series win having won the first two ODIs by four wickets and 56 runs.
